Conservation of Momentum

Each object has an initial and a final state. These are the states of the object for before and after the collision. When you fill in all the required information and leave the unknown values empty, the app is going to calculate the unknown values for you.

This app calculates velocity, mass, angle, and direction of an object after or before a collision. This app uses the Law of Conservation Of Momentum to achieve that. 

Animation panel simulates the 2D collision and plays it. You can change the color of the objects, and their trace lines inside the color panel, which is shown by a small square above each object. Then you can use the "Sync Color" button to sync the colors between the initial and final of the object.
